With the arrival of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur (day of atonement/ covering), I was reminded of an interesting piece of vocabulary shared by the three scrolls (Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Qur’an) that is markedly distinct in all three, but yet still related.
